Outstanding lodging facilities
The Big Five Marathon provides two alternatives when it comes to lodging. Wildside Tented Camp, which appeals to those interested in getting a real African bush experience, and Lakeside Lodge, which caters to those who appreciate a slightly higher level of luxury. |
Lakeside Lodge
This very beautiful lodge, built in stone, is situated on the top section of the Entabeni Game Reserve. The Lodge features large suites with big balconies or terraces facing a lake, where it is common to spot the resident hippos. Both, the suites and communal area are of a high standard, and the safari drives will allow the guests to get very close to a large variety of game.
Wildside Tented Camp
This unfenced camp is located in a beautiful setting, nestled at the foot of a mountain range. The spacious tents, each with en-suite bathrooms, are placed a small distance apart to ensure a maximum privacy. The furnishings are in the classic safari style: twin or double beds, chairs, safari chairs on the terrace, and electricity around the clock. The surrounding area is home to a large pride of lions, which is often seen passing through the camp. This is definitely real African experience.
